David Southwick, Entrepreneur and endorsed Liberal candidate for the Victorian seat of Caulfield, has founded many successful businesses operations, has taught innovation, entrepreneurship and marketing at a tertiary level and has advised major international corporates on marketing and strategy.
His passion for assisting young people to create their own future is David’s key driver. Throughout his career, David has maintained a strong commitment to helping Australian youth develop the skills they need to succeed.
“I strongly believe that if you make a go of business, you need to give back to the community that nurtured you by helping others get on their feet” says David. “This State needs to promote the innovation and business growth that will provide more and better opportunities for our young people.”
The cornerstone of David’s approach is to build value for companies and help individuals achieve by understanding the needs of different generations and embracing innovation and technology.
David currently assists entrepreneurs to grow their own new businesses, providing them with strategic direction, partnering opportunities and venture capital to grow their enterprises. He is currently involved in establishing a business network to help small business leaders identify future trends and innovation opportunities.
David’s work with youth, through organisations like the Ardoch Foundation and Try Youth and Community Services, has enabled disadvantaged young people to develop the skills they need to make their own success.
As the Liberal candidate for Caulfield, David wants to help businesses and the local community grow and prosper by ensuring Victoria provides the right climate of opportunity for enterprise and for youth.
“Cutting red tape for business, providing pathways to skills for young people and ensuring Victoria is the best place for companies and individuals to build a secure and rewarding future is my aim in entering politics as a Liberal,” says David.
